In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
